Jamie DeMore has worked under Dr. Gillian Bartlett’s supervision for the last three years as the Research Manager of the Network Coordinating Office of the PIHCI Network. In this role, Jamie performed extensive data collection for reporting purposes; managed the development of several infographics and reports for the Network; developed strong relationships with members from all partner groups across the Network; spearheaded the implementation of the PCRN Connect communication platform; assisted patient partners with the development of research priorities from their perspective; coordinated many aspects of the most recent SPOR Primary Care Research Network grant writing application to CIHR; and assisted with much of the post-grant submission work over the last several months.
Before this, Mr. DeMore worked as a Graduate Programs Manager in the Department of Family Medicine at McGill University for ten years. In this role, he was instrumental in the development, management, and coordination of the MSc and PhD programs in the Department under the supervision of Dr. Gillian Bartlett with the ultimate goal of increasing research capacity in primary health care research.
Jamie received his Master of Arts in Industrial Organizational Psychology from City University of New York at Brooklyn College and he is currently about to embark on data collection for his doctorate at McGill University in Family Medicine and Primary Care exploring how different levels of partnership engagement are associated with outcomes and processes of a community of practice within a primary care research network.
Jamie is very excited to take on the role of Executive Director of the SPOR Primary Care Research Network and to help the Network achieve its new vision, mission and objectives.
